Overview
We are looking to hire 2 assistants/apprentices. The new hires would be under an apprenticeship program until ready for the floor at Versi the Salon and Spa.
Duties would include shampooing, applying color, offering drinks & checking highlights. Apprentices will also learn color theory, levels of lift, mixing, etc; we use Redken color. The candidates will also receive training in blow drying & when proficient, will then assist with blow drying clients. Apprentices will be required to observe haircuts, applications of highlights, and styling. We believe in service, service, service the moment the client walks in the door!
The hours are part-time:
Tuesday 11 am-5 pm maybe 5:30 pm (sometimes if clients’ services run late, we leave late)
Wednesday 11 am-5 pm maybe 5:30 pm
Thursday 11 am-5 pm maybe 5:30 pm
Friday 11am-5pm maybe 5:30pm
Saturday 10 am – 2pm
$11.00 per hour plus tips – Salon tips are usually pretty good.

The interview will include filling out an application and performing shampoo demonstrations, to determine the level of the candidate’s abilities to assess where training will begin. We understand all candidates have recently graduated from beauty school and want to gift back by helping them, while they help us. Once hired, a tour of the salon, supplies, etc. will take place.

I would teach them blow dries first then after they get that down they would be helping me with blow dries with my clients. Want them watching when I do haircuts and highlights and styling.
