Part-time/Full-time Stylist
Groovy Cuts for Kids is an upscale children’s hair salon specializing in haircuts for kids, ages 0-12 years. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time Hair Stylists for our McKinney salon. We are a close-knit, family oriented, small business with two locations. Groovy Cuts for Kids is a great place to work with great clients and a friendly and fun work environment.
Hair Stylist Requirements & Qualifications:
* Hair Stylists with a commitment to providing an excellent client experience
* Valid TX Cosmetology License.
* Work a flexible schedule, including weekends
* Provide exceptional guest service, providing quality consultations and performing services requested in a
competent, efficient and professional manner
* Maintain a meticulously clean environment for self and guests.
* Must be outgoing and love to interact with clients.
* Great listening and communication skills with a flair for conversation!

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: $12 /hour plus commission
Valid TX Cosmetology license (Required)

Groovy Cuts for Kids is a fun and friendly, family hair salon specializing in kid’s haircuts and glamour parties for girls. We know that kids and parents both want something different from their haircut experience. That’s why at Groovy Cuts for Kids, our goal is to provide parents and children with a memorable experience; one in which it’s no longer the "dreaded" chore to get your child's hair cut. Toddlers get to sit in our Police Car, Hummer, Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Barbie Jeep, or ATV, while watching their favorite cartoon or DVD.
*Toddler seating will vary per location.
Tweens and Parents
For the older kids, or even mom and dad, we have full-sized chairs with 40" TV's that you can play X-box 360, Playstation 3, Wii games or watch your favorite DVD or cartoon while getting a haircut! Afterwards boys get to choose from their favorite color of hair gel and girls get a complimentary mini-mani (nail painting).
Child's 1st Haircut
First haircuts are always something special at Groovy Cuts for Kids; an experience they'll love and you will cherish. Our experienced team of stylists are trained to work with even the littlest customers and know all the tricks to get the job done. Each First Haircut package comes with a My 1st Haircut certificate, (pink for girls and blue for boys) a before and after photo and a lock of hair. We know your child may be apprehensive about having their hair cut, so we make it fun!
