Job Description
The Retail Artist is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to customers as part of the sales team. This individual will advise customers on beauty products and handle assigned store duties. This position reports to the Store Manager.
Essential Functions
Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times and greet customers in a friendly manner.
Provide product demonstrations and answer customer inquiries.
Meet sales goals with the suggestive selling of products and completing transactions.
Perform routine retail duties such as taking inventory counts, maintaining store appearance, and restocking shelves and displays.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment
High school diploma
Minimum 1 year retail experience
Previous experience in cosmetology or retail cosmetics sales preferred
Excellent customer service skills required
Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably and naturally with customers
Requires moderate physical effort to unpack materials and assist in the setup floor displays, as well as being involved in the receiving and some distribution of merchandise, including, but not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to stand for nearly 8 hours
